From Bench Top to Market

Bioscience entrepreneurs are continually searching for support for their research, products or services. A majority of researchers conduct their studies with the help of grants from the government, universities or foundations focused on a specific medical, environmental or scientific need. Stepping out of the academic world and into the business sector requires a new type of support.

The Memphis Bioworks® Foundation offers and enables professional services that help nurture start-up bioscience, bioagriculture and biologistics ventures in the community. The Foundation offers qualified entrepreneurs incubator space, shared equipment, management services and vital connections that assist in moving the company forward towards commercialization.

As the UT-Baptist Research Park construction proceeds, additional incubator space will be available to fulfill the needs of entrepreneurs in the Memphis area and to those researchers and companies that relocate to the city. The new jobs, services, companies and overall redevelopment of the Memphis landscape will be the result of a small group of innovative thinkers willing to take a risk in making Memphis a bioscience center of excellence.

It is never too late to get involved in the development, creation and support of the Memphis Bioworks Foundation’s mission.
